4 Simple Steps To Apply Lipstick Like A Pro

But not everybody is good at applying lipstick perfectly, after all, it’s an art. Step 1: Prep Your Lips

This is the first step to get those perfect, pout worthy lips and an on-point lipstick- prep them! You don’t want to walk around with chapped, dry lips - exfoliate them using a lip scrub and hydrate them with a nourishing lip balm.

Step 2: Apply A Base

If you have discoloration or an uneven liptone, go in for a base. A base will also make sure that your lipstick does not sink into your lips. Choose a concealer shade which is a tone lighter to your lips and apply it using a flat bush. Don’t forget to apply a compact in order to seal the base. This step will also ensure that your lip colour stays on longer.

Step 3: Use A Lip Liner

Next step is to use a lip liner to define your natural lip line and prevent your lipstick shade to bleed out. If you are using one of the lipstick shades for dusky skin, go all in with a liner that compliments your skin tone and your lipstick shade to prevent any feathering. Contour your lips and make the cupid’s bow more prominent - start by creating an ‘X’ shape on the upper lid and trace your lip from one corner to the other.

Step 4: Apply the Lipstick
